F1 — A Quick Review

I just got out of seeing F1, and I am so pleased to say they did it. They did the thing!
It’s a fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled, kinda corny, wonderfully shot, good-time action movie.
What I hoped for most from this film was to see F1 cars — in the highest quality possible — doing the things I love watching them do 24 weekends a year. That’s exactly what I got.
I really hope this movie does well at the box office, and I now see why Apple is going so hard with the promotion—if they can make this approach work, it’s absolutely the direction they should take: big-budget movies that only they can afford to make. Finding quality projects to make is hard, but that’s the work they need to do.
I highly recommend this movie. They do a great job of explaining everything you need to know—you don’t need to be a fan of the sport to understand the plot. And as a fan, I think they treated it with respect and realism.
I also strongly recommend seeing it in the biggest, loudest theater you can. This one deserves it.
