From Instagram Poems to a Bestselling Book, with Loryn Brantz

I published a new episode of Cortex today:

Myke talks to Loryn Brantz – illustrator, poet, and bestselling author – about her journey from Sesame Street and BuzzFeed to becoming an independent creator, how her poems grew into a book, and the routines she uses to make space for new ideas.

Like many new parents, I found Loryn's work a short while after Sophia came in to our lives. Adina sent a post of hers to me over Instagram DM. Within minutes I bought the book as a gift.

Since then I have followed Loryn and found her work to hit my emotions so perfectly. I was really excited to get to speak to someone with a creative process and output like hers – this is a very different conversation to the ones I have had so far.
