The Origin of the iPod

Today on Designed in California, we begin our series focusing on the origins of the iPod — in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

The iPod changed the way we listen to music and reshaped Apple as a company. In this series, we are telling the story of all the elements and people that had to come together to make this possible.

I am so proud of these five episodes. This story is so fascinating, with a series of big twists and turns. Looking back at how the company moved so quickly to make the iPod a reality has really given me a new perspective on where they are today.

I really hope that you give it a listen.
