My First App Updates

It was an honour to work with David and Stephen on the app updates released today by Cross Forward.
Most of my time over the past couple of months has been spent on Widgetsmith. I’m really proud of the new features we’ve added to make it easier than ever to apply themes to both new and existing widgets — especially when paired with pulling theme colours from wallpapers. Whether you use one of our built-in options or an image of your own, it works so well.
I’m also a big fan of the revised widget creation flow, which I think makes the app even much more approachable for new users. I think we have a really great foundation to build from with Widgetsmith 8.
Over the past few weeks I’ve spent a lot of time refreshing and updating the Help videos in the app. There was a bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to make content like this effectively, but I’m proud of what I was able to put together.
New versions of Widgetsmith, Pedometer++, and Sleep++ are available in the App Store now. I really hope you enjoy what our team has built — I’m very excited to be a part of it.
I have also had the privilege of arranging some sponsorships for Widgetsmith. The first of those has gone live today, and it’s Federico Viticci’s iOS 26 review on MacStories. Ticci’s review is a very important part of the culture around the release of iOS, and I am proud that we get to support it.
